Influence

Books, podcasts, friends. They are the 3 pillars that most influenced me and this website, not necessarily in that order.

The knowledge I got from them I divided into 3 broad categories, all MECE of course, being Mental, Physical, and Finance. There’s this game called life and if you’re focused on all 3, you’re winning.

Books

Most books only have 1 concept, as said by Naval Ravikant. Usually, the author explains that concept and then milks and sheds it in different lights with many applications. But that 1 concept remains the same. On this site, I share what that concept is for books I’ve read and found worthwhile.

Podcasts

When I am walking from or to work alongside the Amstel in lovely Amsterdam, or any other commute longer than 15min. I listen to podcasts. It’s still astonishing to me that we have some of the world’s greatest thinkers, at times in discussion with one another, at our fingertips. And we can listen to what they have to say on the go.

The podcasts:

  • All-In with Chamath, Jason, Sacks & Friedberg
  • Huberman Lab
  • Lex Fridman
  • Masters of Scale
  • Naval
  • The Daily Stoic
  • The Joe Rogan Experience
  • The Tim Ferriss Show

Friends

I am lucky enough to be surrounded by what I consider quite some smart young people, interested in the same topics as I am that I share here. Through daily discussions with them, I learn and internalize.

The friends:

  • Undisclosed until they are ready to be on here
